Harvard Ombuds Adam Barak Kleinberger was appointed in December 2021. Prior to arriving at Harvard, Adam served as an ombuds at Boston University and Cornell University. He is a Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner® (CO-OP) and follows the International Ombuds Association’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

Tyler Smith brings nearly 15 years of experience in conflict management, working as a coach, mediator, facilitator, and trainer.  For the past eleven years he has also served as an organizational ombuds, helping individuals, groups, and institutions strengthen their ability to navigate conflict effectively and build healthier, more collaborative environments.

Jude Heichelbech has been at Harvard for over 20 years, supporting offices and executive staff from Harvard Medical School, to Harvard Kennedy School, to Central Administration. Jude has supported the Harvard Ombuds Office since 2012. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting with a sculpture minor from the University of Evansville in Indiana and is also an active musician and composer.   

Melissa Brodrick

Melissa Brodrick serves as Ombuds and Director for Harvard Ombuds Office. In this role, she serves as an impartial and informal dispute resolution practitioner who provides confidential and informal assistance to Harvard faculty, staff, students and trainees and to appointees at the affiliated institutions.

Lisa Neale

Lisa Neale is an experienced ombuds and trainer with 20 years in the conflict resolution field.  Prior to joining the Harvard Ombuds Office, she worked at the Anschutz Medical Campus at the University of Colorado for 19 years as the Associate Director and Ombuds.  Lisa is certified in Crucial Conversations, Crucial Accountability, The DiSC Personality Profile and has recently become a practitioner in Restorative Justice.
